GAT offers programs at undergraduate (UG) level in six core branches of Engineering. All the programs are approved degree programs affiliated to VTU. The respective department offering the relevant UG program has a current approved intake as shown in the bracket as on 2016-2017.

Admission to Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) in Karnataka will be as per the government order 2015-16. Minimum requirements for admission to Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) in any stream is subject to fulfillment of all the latest elegibility criteria set by AICTE and KEA.

Seats in Each stream will be filled based on the approved intake by the VTU and as per the Guideline s of the Government as given below:
Through CET (http://www.kar.nic.in) 45% of the Approved Intake
Through COMEDK (http://www.comedk.org) 30% of the Approved Intake
Management Seats 25% of the Approved Intake (http://www.gat.ac.in). Those students who would like to seek direct admission under management quota, are requested to place their admission enquiry online on this website. We will get back to you as soon as possible.

Eligibility for Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.)
A pass in P.U.C in Karnataka or in any other State Boards or A Pass in XII Standard of CBSE or any other equivalent examination. An average of minimum of 45 % marks in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry or Elecronics or Computer Science. Should have appeared for any one or more of the following Entrance Examination CET OR COMEDK and must have valid rank declared.
Eligibility Criteria For Admission to semester III
A candidate who has passed any diploma examination or equivalent examination and obtained an aggregate minimum of 45% marks taken together in all the subjects of the final year (Fifth and sixth semester) diploma Examination (Q.E) is eligible for admission to B.E courses, and 40% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST and Backward Classes of Karnataka candidates.The candidates must appear for Diploma Common Entrance Test for admission to B.E courses as per the schedule conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority.
Qualifying Entrance Exam
The Karnataka Diploma Common Entrance Test is being conducted for the purpose of determining the eligibility / merit, for admission of Karnataka candidates to the Second year or Third semester full time B.E courses in Government / University / Private Aided / Private UnAided professional educational institutions in the state of Karnataka for the academic year.
