Dr Vidyadhar Mudkavi has vast experience of over 30 years in the domain of aerospace. He served in various positions at CSIR National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL) including heading the Computational and Theoretical Fluid Dynamics division from 1992 to 2016. In 2016 he became Director of the CSIR Fourth Paradigm Institute (CSIR-4PI). He contributed to important national programs such as Wake Clearance of LCA Tejas, FloSolver program, Saras civil transport aircraft, etc. He served as Director of CSIR Fourth Paradigm Institute (CSIR-4PI) from 2016 to 2021. He played pivotal role in setting up of high-performance computational facility at CSIR-4PI through National Supercomputing Mission to AcSIR. He also served as Distinguished Emeritus Professor of AcSIR from 2021 to 2024.
