Dr. Ravi Kumar D. V. has over 22 years of academic and professional experience and is
presently serving as Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Global
Academy of Technology, Bengaluru, specializing in Mechanical Engineering with
expertise in Metal Matrix Composites (MMCs). He has contributed extensively to
teaching, research, and accreditation activities, and has played a leading role in
curriculum development by designing innovative courses and aligning programs with
industry requirements. He has also mentored several student projects, fostering
research and professional growth. Prior to his academic career, he worked as a Design
Engineer with SOFTPRO (deputed to HAL, Bangalore) on LCA front fuselage structures
and as a Trainee Engineer at Bharat Electronics Ltd. (BEL). His rich blend of industry
and academic expertise enables him to integrate practical applications with theoretical
concepts, ensuring holistic learning among students.
