The Master of Business Administration program at the Global Academy of Technology (GAT) aims to cultivate aspiring management leaders by providing a comprehensive understanding of key managerial functions across various industries. With a focus on practical application, the program enhances students' skills in communication, leadership, and decision-making, while fostering innovation and entrepreneurship.

Established in 2004, the Department of Management Studies at GAT offers a two year full time MBA program affiliated with VTU, approved by AICTE, and recognized by the Government of Karnataka. The program provides a holistic management education across various disciplines, preparing students to become proficient business leaders with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in today's competitive global business environment.

Qualification and Eligibility – Overview

Candidates who have passed a recognized Bachelor's Degree of a minimum of three years duration or equivalent examination and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks considering all the courses including language courses in all the years of the Degree Examination. SC, ST, and Category-I of Karnataka candidates who are ordinarily resident of Karnataka should have secured not less than 45%. Those who secured less than the prescribed standards shall not be eligible for registration to the MBA program.

Candidates who register under Karnataka Examinations Authority abbreviated as KEA for Post-Graduate Common Entrance Examination abbreviated as PGCET can seek admission through the Government quota by fulfilling eligibility requirements.

Candidates seeking admission under the Management quota should have appeared in any one of the following entrance examinations approved by the competent authorities viz. Government of Karnataka, AICTE, Visvesvaraya Technological University, All India Management Association (AIMA) or any other Universities in the State of Karnataka.

  • KMAT conducted by Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association
  • CMAT conducted by AICTE, New Delhi
  • MAT conducted by AIMA, New Delhi

Candidates from other States in India and Foreign Candidates shall obtain Eligibility certificate from Visvesvaraya Technological University to seek admission for MBA Program under Management quota and should fulfill the prescribed requirements.
