Participation in Industry Projects

Department of Civil Engineering has closely associated with many of the industries in the form of consultancy and research works. The civil engineering students are actively participates in most of the industrial projects and gets an experience of their practical training. The involvement of the students for various Traffic and Transportation studies (projects of DULT, BBMP) and geological & hydro geological studies are worth mentioning.

Social Responsibilities

cycle dayCycle Day, an initiative by the Karnataka government’s Directorate of Urban Land Transport (DULT), is supported by multiple communities, city-level organisations, citizen volunteers and government organisations (Bangalore Traffic Police, BBMP). It is an attempt to increase awareness on the benefits of cycling for health and the environment. The objective is fairly simple – to promote cycling as a green mode of transport and get more people on their bicycles in order to reduce pollution and traffic in the city.
Taking the spirit, RR Nagar Community is started celebrating cycle day. The First Cycle day was celebrated on Oct. 28th 2018. Global Academy of Technology extends their support as Community partners for the event with Civil engineering students as major volunteers. Few snaps of the event are shown below.
