Master’s in Business Administration (MBA)
The Department of Management Studies and Research Centre at Global Academy of Technology offers a master’s program where they can specialise in core subjects like Finance, Marketing and Human Resources. These subjects are taught by well qualified and highly experienced faculty members coupled with guest speakers from the industry.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidate who has passed a recognized Bachelor’s Degree (like BBA, B.Com, BA, BSc etc..) of minimum of 3 years or equivalent examination or higher degree like B.E., M.Tech, ME etc..and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks in all the subjects including languages in all the years of the Degree Examination is eligible for admission to MBA courses. (45% of marks in qualifying examination in case of SC, ST, and Category-I of Karnataka candidates).
Must have a valid PGCET/KMAT score/rank.
Eligibility Clause under Government Quota
The candidate should have studied and passed in one or more Government or Government recognized educational institutions located in the State of Karnataka for a minimum period of SEVEN academic years commencing from 1st standard to Qualifying Examination either continuously or in broken period as on 1st July of the year in which the Entrance Test is held and must have appeared and passed either SSLC / 10th standard or 2nd PUC / 12th standard examination in a Government recognized institutions located in Karnataka State or that either of the parents should have studied in Government recognized institutions in Karnataka for a minimum period of SEVEN years. In case of the candidate who had taken more than one year to pass a class or standard, the years of academic study is counted as one year only.
Note : All the admissions and undergraduate Degrees to claim eligibility for admission to any of the PG courses is subject to approval of the Government / VTU / other respective University.

Eligibility Criteria
A candidate who has obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects in all the years in their 4-year degree course (B.E.), is eligible for admission to M. Tech program. 45% of marks in case of SC, ST, and Category-I candidates.
Candidates with valid GATE score or PGCET rank are eligible to seek admission under Government Quota.
Note : Candidates with valid GATE scores need not appear for Karnataka PGCET and will be given preference over the others. For receiving GATE Scholarship, a candidate must have a valid GATE Score.

Seat Allotment rules as per Karnataka Education Authority
In the case of M.Tech (Full Time) courses, first seat will be allotted to VALID GATE SCORE candidates irrespective of the Karnataka or non-Karnataka. However, reservation is applicable only to those who become eligible as Karnataka candidates and the same is not applicable to Non-Karnataka GATE rank holders. Non- Karnataka GATE rank holders will be considered under Open / General Category.
MSc Program
M.Sc by research is offered in all the six engineering departments.
Eligibility Criteria
Admission to the M.Sc.(Engineering) by Research is open to candidates who have passed B.E./B.Tech. Examination of VTU or B.E./B.Tech. of any other University, recognized VTU/AICTE as equivalent thereto and have passed the prescribed qualifying examination with not less than 60% of the marks in the aggregate. A relaxation to the extent of 10% shall be allowed for candidates belonging to SC/ST and any other category as notified by Government of Karnataka from time to time.
