THREE DAYS WORKSHOP ON “System Software and Compiler Design / Operating Systems Laboratory
With the growing demand of electronic devices, efficient conservation of energy has become the major concern. In a computing system, design, development and compilation has significant impact on conservation of energy. While it is difficult to control the impact of conservation of energy at hardware level, Green computation and in turn, Green Compilers are safest bet in controlling conservation of energy at software level. Controlled use of resources is achieved by the optimization of compiler and scheduling approach.
The workshop is designed to address the open issues related to Green Compilers and at the same time developing programs using LEX and YACC tools while understanding the working of compilers. Workshop is designed based on the new syllabus framed for the subjects, System Software and Compiler Design theory, as well as System Software and Operating Systems laboratory (CBCS scheme of 6th Semester CSE, VTU).
Objective of the Workshop
The objective of the workshop is to introduce the faculty to
LEX and YACC tools, different parsers used in Compilers.
Discussions on evaluation of different algorithms required
for management, Scheduling, allocation and communication
used in Operating System from the theory and Laboratory
syllabus will be covered in the workshop.
Soft copy of course material will be provided to all the delegates along with the certificate of participation.
Faculty members of Department of CSE and ISE can register for the Workshop. Maximum number of participants is limited to 40 on first come first serve basis.
The workshop focuses on the System Software and Compiler Design course [15CS63] and also System Software and Operating Systems Lab [15CSL67] prescribed by VTU for CBCS Scheme of 6th semester, CSE
