To begin this occasion, Mr. Abinandan Joshi, from 3rd Sem., Department of Computer Science and Engineering, invoked the blessings of almighty.

Sir expressed his happiness and thanked the parent community for choosing the Global Academy of Technology for their wards and gave assurance to the parents that their children will have wonderful journey in this beautiful campus and comes out as a good citizen for the country. Sir explained to the students that a person with very good knowledge but without good human values is very danger to the society and at the same time a person with good values without knowledge is no much use for the society. Hence the student should grow with knowledge and equally with good values. Sir assured to the parents that in Global Academy of Technology provides the knowledge with good values.

Sir urged that every student graduating from Global Academy of Technology should go as a leader, caring for the societal issues and to address the challenges of the farming community.

Sir expressed to the students, don’t do education for the sake of degree but the education should show some direction to society. Sir gave the examples of our the then prime ministers of India Jawaharlal Nehru and Atal Bihari Vajpayee achievements and their greatest vision for the independent India.

Sir proudly said Global Academy of Technology will concentrate on the holistic growth of the student with at most discipline at every step.

On behalf of the entire management of Global Academy of Technology, Directors, Heads of all department, faculties, staff and the senior students, Principal sir wholeheartily  welcomed all the 1st year BE students to GAT family.

Prayer is a ray of hope which guides us towards the light of success. All the dignitaries on the dias and also few 1st year students began the event by lighting the lamp and floral offerings to Goddess Saraswathi- Goddess of Knowledge and wisdom.

Sir Served as Visiting Scientist at Institute of Space and Astronautically Sciences, University of Tokyo 1967, Centre for Space Research/Lincoln Lab, MIT, Boston, 1970, NASA Goddard Space Flight Centre, Maryland, USA, 1971

Sir addressed the students and motivated them through the ISRO achievements, how white revolution occurred in India. Verghese Kurien, known as the ‘Father of the White Revolution’ in India, and encouraged Indian dairy farmers for production of more milk. He founded Amul, one of the largest milk producing companies in India. Kurien, along with his friend H. M. Dalaya invented the process of making milk powder and condensed milk from buffalo milk.

Sir also explained achievements and contributions of Sir M Visvesvaraya to the society, who is the father of engineering. Sir explained the education career of Sir M Visvesvaraya and his hurdles, difficulties in completing the education and gave message to the students that never give up in life and take life as challenging and move with positive attitude.

Sir said engineering started with civil engineering which is the mother of all engineering branches and rest of branches followed. Sir told students to concentrate and be very strong on the basics i.e on fundamentals.

Guest of Honour Ms. Gayathri, Proud Alumni of GAT addressed the gathering.

Ms. Gayathri is a alumni of GAT, having corporate work experience of 8 years in teaching and training of German, French, English, Hindi. She has C2 German (Native level), B2 (French) certifications and successfully underwent a German Teacher’s training course in Regensburg, Germany.  With an MS in Computer Science from Albert-Ludwig’s University, Freiburg, Germany and MBA in General Management Indo-German Training Centre-Bangalore, supported by 6 years of work experience in India and abroad – helping people develop and succeed through Training, Coaching and Mentoring.

She explained the 9 different intelligence that every engineering students should achieve or acquire in four years of their journey in Engineering and she emphasis more on Linguistic Intelligence.

Ms. Gayathri also proudly shared her experience as a student in GAT and explained importance of Laboratory sessions i.e learning by doing.

Parents’ community spoke regarding their perspective of their child’s growth at GAT campus. Parents’ community extended their hand with principal sir for better progress of their wards in this wonderful campus.

Dr. Geetha Prakash, Director Industry Institute Interaction Cell explained the induction program for the students.

Shri Venkatappa, Additional Secretary, NEF explained to the students that institute had started in the year 2001 with the great vision of providing the best quality education and discipline to the students. Sir explained how every aspect in the institute is taken care starting from the maintenance of the building, recycling of water, hygiene and quality education.
